TUG Volunteering Opportunities
We welcome and encourage all individuals who would consider volunteering to our TUG steering committee group. All members on our steering committee have, at one time or another, felt the pain of unemployment, and the group would not exist without their help and dedication. Our needs vary as we continue to grow, therefore I would encourage you to attend one of our steering committee meetings to learn what we are all about, our focus and how you can help make a difference within our group. Some of our needs at this time are to help with the Monday night meetings, plan for future speakers, contribute to our website, help with our funding raising projects, taking minutes at our steering committee meetings, etc. Please contact me if you are interested. We would gladly welcome your help!

Riverwoods Christian Center
This campground is located on 85 acres on the east shore of the Fox River between St. Charles and Elgin. Every summer, Riverwoods opens the camp to more than 700 children and teens from the low-income income neighborhoods of the Fox Valley, at no cost to their families. Campers enjoy swimming, canoeing, hiking, campouts, arts and crafts, sports and games, archery, biking, and fishing. Most importantly, through Bible studies and the witness of our staff, our campers learn how Jesus loves them and wants to be their personal friend and Savior. The camp remains busy year-round with events organized by Riverwoods' Community Advocates for the young people and families in the low-income neighborhoods they serve. Riverwood also sponsors outdoor Christian music concerts during the summer and invites individuals and small groups from Fox Valley churches are invited to use the camp's retreat facilities for daytime and overnight events.
